Automobiles in Germany's Town Discovered Marked with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement State

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Police
Officers reported they were notified by a individual who noticed a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored fluid

Approximately 50 automobiles have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Automobiles, walls and postboxes were marked, sometimes with swastikas, they stated in a statement.

Officers report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a man discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a red-colored liquid.

The fluid had been applied in the pattern of a swastika, they stated.

Law enforcement then located numerous other marked automobiles and residential walls in the nearby vicinity.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under regulations banning the public display of Nazi-era symbols.

Police report early analysis indicate the liquid was most likely human blood.

"Currently there is no clue as to its source; officials are currently not cognizant of any physical harm in connection with the incident," they stated.

Municipal representatives stated they were working "to solve the case" and have asked to the public for details.

A high-ranking representative said the vandalism rendered him speechless and required to be solved promptly.

"This event affects the very heart of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the extremist attack in 2020," he posted on a platform, recalling the killing of nine individuals by a gunman focusing on residents of foreign heritage in 2020.
